Our vision is to bring joy to underprivileged people across the world and to encourage connected, meaningful charitable giving.

Our Mission

We aim to accomplish our vision through a transparent and donor-engaging website that encourages connected giving. Donors can target their donations by selecting personally meaningful ‘Differences’ (specific examples of charitable activities).
We aim to build Significant Differences into an internationally recognized charitable organization known for making a joyful impact in the life of an underprivileged person. The ongoing work of established charities can be supported by donations featured through us.

How We're Different and How We Work

Each and every Difference you make impacts the life of an impoverished person directly. We focus on Differences which bring joy to an underprivileged person. We give donors the opportunity to select a Difference that is personally meaningful. We aim for a Donor to feel a sense of connection to the recipient of their donation.

We are proud that Significant Differences does not take any portion of your donation.

Our Organization

We are a new non-profit organization awaiting status as a registered charity through the Canada Revenue Agency.
We are led by a volunteer team of 8 Canadian directors:

We also acknowledge the tremendous assistance of our volunteer developer James Dixon.

Differences

There may be times when a Difference cannot be made as described. We expect this may happen with 1-3% of donations and we will ensure that a similar Difference is made with the same featured charity selected by you. The Differences you select represent the tremendous benefit brought to underprivileged people by your donation today and a substitution will be rare. All proceeds from your donations support the charitable programs of our featured charities.
